Jean Baptiste was born on October 15th, 1677 in Contrecoeur, Vercheres, Quebeca. Jean Baptiste's father was Jehan Philbert Couillard-Roquebrune and his mother was Suzanne Catherine Laporte. His paternal grandfather was Jean Bernard De Larocque-Roquebrune and his paternal grandmother is Marie Dalmas De Marcilly. He was an only child.
