Charles Somers was born on July 14th, 1819. Charles Somers' father was John Somers II Cocks and his mother was Caroline Harriet Yorke. His paternal grandparents are John Somers I Cocks and Margaret Nash; his maternal grandparents were Philip Yorke and Elizabeth Lindsay. He was an only child.
