Mary Eliza Churchill 
Mary Eliza was born on April 14th, 1804. Mary Eliza's father was Samuel Churchill and her mother was Ann Abigail Oldham. Her paternal grandparents were Armistead II Churchill and Elizabeth Bakewell; her maternal grandparents were William Oldham and Penelope Pope. She had a sister named Abigail Prather. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 37 on February 9th, 1842. She was buried in Blenheim Cemetery; later removed to Cave Hill, Louisville, KY.General Notes
It is possible that a son or nephew of Mary Eliza and Charles Thruston was the " Mr. Thruston" mentioned in a note attached to Thomas Norman Eastin's diary (also in this database as a distant cousin).
Thomas N. Eastin kept a diary of his experiences on the Overland Trail (see notes for Thomas N. Eastin), which is now housed with the FIlson Historical Society in Kentucky (a copy received by me). A note with Thomas`s diary promises that his son Churchill will pass it to a Mr. Thruston upon Churchill`s death, which was apparently done through the estate.
