Edward Spencer was born on May 6th, 1895. Edward Spencer's father was William Cavendish and his mother was Evelyn Petty-Fitzmaurice. His paternal grandparents were Edward Cavendish and Elizabeth Lascelles; his maternal grandparents were Henry Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice and Maud Evelyn Hamilton. He had a sister named Anne.
