Griffon was born in 0726. Griffon's father was Charles Martel d'Herstal+ Carolingien and his mother is Swanahilde Of+ Bavaria. His paternal grandparents were Pepin II + Carolingien and Alpaide Von+ Sachsen; his maternal grandfather was Theudebert Of+ Bavaria and his maternal grandmother is Imma D'+ Alemanie. He had a sister named Aude De+. He was the older of the two children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Carloman+, Pepin III+, Remi and Childtrude.
