Charles III was born in 0839. Charles III's father was Louis II+ Carolingien and his mother is Emma+ Guelph. His paternal grandparents were Louis I+ Carolingien and Ermengarde De+ Hesbaye; his maternal grandfather was Guelph I+ Guelph and his maternal grandmother is Edith Von+ Sachsen. He had two brothers and a sister, named Carloman+, Louis and Gisaele+. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 49 in 0888.General Notes
