William De+ was born about 1175 in Bramber, Sussex, England & Gower, Wales. William De+'s father was William De+ Braose and his mother was Matilda De+ Saint Valery. His paternal grandfather was William De+ Braose and his paternal grandmother is Bertha Fitzmilo Of+ Gloucester; his maternal grandparents are Bernald IV De+ Saint Valery and Matilda+ X. He had a brother and four sisters, named Reginald De+, Margaret De+, Leucia De+, Eleanor De+ and Matilda De+. He was the oldest of the six children. He died due to being starved to death by King John. in 1210 in Corfe Castle prison.General Notes
