Richard was born in 1608 in Turvey, Bedford, England. Richard's father was Richard Bernard and his mother was Elizabeth Woodhouse. His paternal grandparents were Francis Bernard and Alice Hazelwood. He was an only child. He died at the age of 43 on April 3rd, 1651 in Gloucester, VA.General Notes
