The manor of Walton, Derbyshire, was the property, and Walton-hall for some generations the seat, of the ancient family of Breton, whose heiress brought it to Sir John Loudham. Sir John Loudham, the younger, having died without issue,in or about the year 1392, his sisters and coheirs brought the estate in moieties, to Thomas Foljambe, Esq. and Sir John Beckering.
