Gobert VIII D' was born about 1275. Gobert VIII D''s father was Joffroi D' Aspremont and his mother was Isabelle De Quievrain. His paternal grandparents were Gosbert VII D' Aspremont and Agnes De Courcy. He had two sisters named Jeanne D' and Mahaut D'. He was the oldest of the three children.
