John Gilbert Ashbaugh 
John Gilbert was born in 1832. John Gilbert's father was Christopher Columbus Ashbaugh and his mother is Elizabeth Thomas. His paternal grandparents were David Ashbaugh and Catherine Shoptaugh. He had three sisters named Nancy, Mary Margaret and Elizabeth. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William Frederick, Sarah and Narcissa. He died at the age of 84 in 1916.General Notes
