John Edmonds Allen 
John Edmonds was born on May 25th, 1784 in Lexington, KY. John Edmonds' father was John Allen and his mother was Sarah Edmonds. His paternal grandparents are Ephraim Allen and Elizabeth Chilson. He was an only child. He died at the age of 81 on December 4th, 1865 in Pike Co., MO.General Notes
According to John D. Ashaugh, John Edmonds built a "thread mill in Pike County, Missouri in 1818." He was also "one of the founding members of the Methodist Church of Louisiana....carried the title of "Col" and presumably served in the U.S. Army during the War of 1812."
