Amalberge was born about 0480. Amalberge's father was King Theodomir ("Amaling") of the Ostragoths and her mother was Erelicia de Burgundy. Her paternal grandfather was King Wandalar of the Ostragoths. She had a brother and a sister, named Theodoric and Amalafreda. She is the second oldest of the three children.-
