Hiliar was born about 1100 in Montmirail, Marne, France. Hiliar's father is Seigneur Walter de Montmirel and his mother is Elizabeth. His paternal grandparents are Dalmatius de Montmirel and Agnes. He was an only child. He died after 1170.
