Maud was born in 1182 in Bromley, Surrey, England.  Maud's father was Ralph de Fay and her mother was Beatrice de Turnham.  Her paternal grandparents are Lord Raoul de Chatellerault of Fay and Elizabeth de Faye; her maternal grandfather was Stephen de Turnham and her maternal grandmother is Lady Edeline de Broc of Angmering.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 67 in 1249.


Maud's first family with William de Braose

‌Maud and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1195.  They had a son and a daughter, named John and Maud.


Maud's second family with Richard de Clere III

They had a daughter named Agatha.
