Josce was born about 1106 in Dinan, Brittany, France. Josce's father was Viscount Geoffroy de Dinan II and his mother was Lady Radegonde Nerondes. His paternal grandfather was Oliver de Dinan I. He had a brother named Alan Oliver. He was the younger of the two children. He died in 1167.-
