Robert was born about 1175 in Chaucombe, North Hampshire, England. Robert's father is Sheriff Hugh de Chaucombe of Staffordshire and his mother is Heiress Hodierne de Lucerne of Wormleighton. His paternal grandfather is Hugh de Chaucombe; his maternal grandfather was Giffard de Lucerne. He was an only child. He died on October 8th, 1254.-
