Sibyl was born in 1245 in Chadnor, Hereford, England.  Sibyl's father is William Chabbenor and her mother is Sybil of Herefordshire.  Her paternal grandfather is Thomas ap William.  She is an only child.

‌Sibyl and Richard were married in a religious ceremony about 1269.  They had a son named John.
