Robert was born in Baskerville Castle, Herefordshire, England.  Robert's father was Ralph de Baskerville and his mother is Olwen of Eardisland & Breadwardine.  His paternal grandfather was Sir Robert de Baskerville and his paternal grandmother is Agnes; his maternal grandfather is Rhyddarch Uras.  He was an only child.  He died in 1178.
