Earl Oswulf of Northumberland 
Oswulf was born about 0930. Oswulf's father was Lord Ealdred of Bamborough. His paternal grandfather was Lord Eadwulf de Singleton of Bamborough. He had a brother named Maldred Uswulf. He was the older of the two children. He died about 0965.General Notes

NEHGR: "Osulf was succeeded by Walthof, Senior, who had a son Uchtred. He
submitted by necessity to Knut, and was murdered by a Dane. Earl Uchtred had
three sons, Aldred, Eadulf and Cospatric (sic). The two elder were Earls of
Northumberland." Quotation from Symeon, a monk at Durham commenting on the
great families of his neighborhood.
