Ommace was born about 0420 in Arvern.  Ommace's father is Consul Agricola of Rome and his mother is Apollinaris di Roma.  His paternal grandfather was Bishop Philagrius di Epirus of Cyprus or Egypte; his maternal grandfather is Sidonius Apollinaris di Roma. He had a brother named Marcus Maecillius.  He is the younger of the two children.
