Nocher was born about 0952. Nocher's father was Count Nocher I of Bar-sur-Aube and his mother was Countess Adelaide of Soissons. His paternal grandfather was Archard de la Ferte-sur-Aube and his paternal grandmother is Heiress Archarda of Bar-sur-Aube; his maternal grandparents are Count Giselbert de Soissons and Aelis or Adelaide. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Renaud and Aelis. He died after 1019.
They had a son named Nocher.
