Josias was born in 0678 BC in Jerusalem, Judea, South Kingdom.  Josias' father was King Amon ha-David of Judah and his mother was Jedidah.  His paternal grandfather was King Manasseh ha-David of Judah and his paternal grandmother is Meshullemeth of Jotbah; his maternal grandfather was Priest Adaiah ben Ethan of Boscath.  He was an only child.  He died  due to slain by the Egyptians at Megiddo in 0609 BC in Jerusalem, Judea, South Kingdom.  He was buried in 0609 BC in King's Sepulcher, Jerulsalem, Judah.
