Findon Eochaidh, known as "Crook-nose", was born about 0660 in Scotland. "Crook-nose"'s father was King Domangart macDomnaill II of Dal Riata. His paternal grandfather was King Domnall (Brecc "the Speckled") macEochaidh of Dal Riata and his paternal grandmother is of Bernicia. He had a brother named "Crook Nose". He was the older of the two children. He died in 0697.
