Danaus' father is King Belos of Chemnis and his mother is Anchinoe.  His paternal grandparents are Poseidon and Libya; his maternal grandparents are Nilus and Callirhoe. He has two brothers and a sister, named Pygmalion, Aegyptus and Antiope.
