Cypros ("The Nabataean", "The Edomite") of Nabataea 
Cypros, known as "The Nabataean", "The Edomite", was born in 0093 BC in Petra, Jordan. "The Nabataean", "The Edomite"'s father was King Aretas III of Nabataea. Her paternal grandfather was King Obodas I of Nabataea. She is an only child.General Notes
"Herod's mother Cypros was either a Nabatæan or -- less likely -- from s ome unnamed Arab tribe contiguous to the Nabatæans" -- Herod, p .62. Sullivan in Near Eastern Royalty p.215 suggests that Cypros was t he daughter of Aretas III.
