John, known as "the Younger", was born about 1410 in Homme, Hertfordshire, England. "the Younger"'s father is John ("the Senior") Carpenter. His paternal grandparents were Richard Carpenter and Christina. He was an only child. He died in 1476 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England.General Notes
It is believed that this JOHN CARPENTER died about 1476. If so, this could be the JOHN CARPENTER that was appointed Chancellor of Oxford University in 1437 and made a Bishop of Worcester in 1444. This fits with his burial in Worcestershire.
