Heiress Cecily Bigod of Belvoir 
Cecily was born about 1090 in Belvoir Castle, Belvoir, Leicestershire, England. Cecily's father was Earl Roger de Bigod of East Anglia and her mother was Heiress Alice de Toeny of Belvoir. Her paternal grandfather was Robert de Bigod and her paternal grandmother is St. Saveur; her maternal grandparents were Robert de Toeny of Belvoir and Adeliza Osule. She had a brother and four sisters, named Hugh, Maud, Gunnor, Jane and Cecily.General Notes

HEIRESS OF BELVOIR
Belvoir Castle (pronounced "Beever") means "beautiful view." It was begun by Robert de Todeni, standard bearer of William the Conqueror. His descendants were the d'Albinis (or d'Aubignys). The de Ros family held the castle until 1464 when Thomas de Ros was executed as a Lancastrian in the Wars of the Roses. The Earls of Rutland eventually gained possession of the Castle and restored it to its wonderful present condition. The Duke and Duchess of Rutland reside there to this day.
Gen. Douglas MacArthur is a descendant.
