Jacob was born in 1567 in Seelbach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.  Jacob's father was Goebel Beer.  His paternal grandfather is Goebel Behr.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 63 in 1630 in Seelbach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany.
