Soloman was born on January 14th, 1791 in Brunswick Co., NC. Soloman's father was Benjamin Robbins and his mother was Sarah Wells. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Robbins and Mary Penelope Sellers; his maternal grandparents are Daniel Wells and Polly Bostick. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin, Solomon, Benjamin, Danial A., Daniel Arter, Joel, Mary and Eliza. He died at the age of 88 on May 19th, 1879 in Nixburg, Coosa Co., AL.-
