John was born in 1515 in Rawkerayne, Devon, England.1   John's father was John Mitchell and his mother was Agnes.  His paternal grandfather was William Michell. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named John, Annes, Joanna and Johane.  He died at the age of 75 on August 10th, 1590 in Colyton, Devonshire, England.1

They had a son named John.
