John's father was Richard de Burgh , Earl of Ulster 3rd and his mother was Margaret de Burgh. His paternal grandfather was Walter de Burgh , Earl of Ulster and his paternal grandmother is Aveline FitzJohn; his maternal grandfather is John de Burgh. He had four sisters named Joan, Elizabeth, Katherine and Matilda. He died on June 18th, 1313 in Galway.-
