Thomas was born about 1292. Thomas' father was Sir Marmaduke Thweng Baron and his mother was Isabel De Ros. His paternal grandfather is Marmaduke Thweng and his paternal grandmother was Lucy (Lucia) Brus; his maternal grandfather was William Ros and his maternal grandmother is Eustace FitzHugh. He had three sisters named Lucia, Alice De and Katharine. He is the second oldest of the four children.-
