Richard was born about 1285 in Of, Richard's Castle, Herefordshire, England. Richard's father was Richard Talbot Baron of Eccleswell and his mother was Sarah Beauchamp. His paternal grandfather was Gilbert Talbot and his paternal grandmother is Gwenllian Verch Rhys; his maternal grandparents were William Beauchamp Lord of Elmley and Isabel Mauduit. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert, Thomas, Wenllian and Catherine. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died before October 10th, 1328. He was buried in Priory, Wormsley, Herefordshire, England.-
