Hamo Le was born about 1144 in Knockyn, Shropshire, England. Hamo Le's father was Roland le Strange and his mother is Matilda Le Brun. His paternal grandfather was Guy le Strange; his maternal grandfather was Ralf Fitz Herluin de Conteville and his maternal grandmother is Helewisa de Plaiz. He had three brothers and a sister, named John I Le, Guy Le, Ralph Le and Margaret le. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died in 1160.General Notes
