Jonas (Slot) was born on April 4th, 1681 in Kingston (Esopus), Ny.1 Jonas (Slot)'s father was Pieter Jansen (Slott) Sloat Immigrant and his mother was Marritje Jacobse van Winkle. His paternal grandparents were Jan Pietersen (Slot) Sloat Immigrant, Founder and Aeltie (Annetie?) Jans; his maternal grandfather was Jacobse Wallings van Winkle Immigrant and his maternal grandmother is Tryntje (Catherine) Jacobs. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jan Pietersen (Slot), Jacobus (Slott), Tryntie (Slot), Annetie (Slot) and Abeltie (Slot). He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 78 on May 29th, 1759 in New York City, Ny. He was buried in June 1759 in New York City, Ny.1 -
