I Count of Luxembourg was born about 0923.1 I Count of Luxembourg's father was Count of Verdun Richwin and his mother was Princess of West Franks Kunigunde. His maternal grandmother is Ermentrude de France. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Count in the Bridgau, Frederick and Luitgarde. He died on August 15th, 0998. He was buried after October 27th, 0997 in Saint Maximin, Trier.1 1 General Notes

Stuart, Royalty for Commoners, 3rd Ed., 1998, on page 160, has
Richwin,Count of Verdun as father of Siegfried but on page 179, lists
Kunigunde'sfirst husband, Wigeric, Pfalzgrave in Trier, as the father of
Siegfried.However, as Wigeric died about 919 and Kunigunde married
Richwin about920, I am leaving Richwin as the father of Siegfried.
I Count of Luxembourg were married in a religious ceremony about 0950.1
