William Moseley

William was born in 1734 in Summerville, Powhatan, Virginia.¹ William's father was Robert Lygon Moseley and his mother was Sarah Rachel Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Moseley Jr. and Sarah Hancock; his maternal grandparents are Francis Taylor and Judith Ann Leake. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joshiah, Francis, Arthur, Robert Peter, Sarah, Mary, Martha, Nancy and Rebeccah. He is the second youngest of the ten children.
