Henry Loker 
Henry was born in Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England and his baptism took place in Bures Saint Mary, Suffolk, England.1 Henry's father was Robert Loker and his mother was Lucy Riddlesdale. His paternal grandparents were John Loker and Joan Unknown; his maternal grandparents were John Riddlesdale and Joan (Riddlesdale). He had three brothers named Johan (John), William and Hugh. Note that the Parish of Bures St. Mary straddles the border between co Essex and co Suffolk, England, and the Lokers lived in the south part, eg. Essex, and the church was in the north part, eg. Suffolk.

His will was written February 22, 1630 and instructed his body to be buried in the churchyard at Bures. Bequests to his wife, Elizabeth, and children: Henry, the eldest, John, Bridget and Ann. (He apparently died and was buried in Massachusetts) A debt was due from John Matthews, shoemaker. Witnesses: John Isaack, Jefri Hust and John Parmenter. Proved April 1631. He was baptized as "Henry Locar" and was buried as "Henry Loquar". He md Elizabeth____about 1608. Loker is alias Riddlesdale. Perhaps Elizabeth, whom he mar. was a sister of Bridget, wife of John Parmenter of Bures St. Mary. Henry's widow, elizabeth, and her four children went to New England in 1639 and settled in Sudbury.
