His paternal grandfather was Nicholas Gresley Knight and his paternal grandmother is Thomasine (Westeneys) De Wasteneys; his maternal grandparents are Thomas (Walsh) Walse Lord of Anlep and Katherine. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Joan (Jane) De, Margaret and Innocentia Or Senecha (Sarah). He was the second youngest of the five children. He died about 1437.-
