Gertrude of Saxony 
Gertrude of Saxony was born in 1028 in Schweinfurt,Unterfranken,Bavaria. Gertrude of Saxony's father was Bernard II Duke of Saxony and her mother was Eilika of Schweinfort. Her paternal grandparents were Bernard I (Benno) Billing Duke of S and Countess Hildegarde von Stade; her maternal grandfather was Henry Margrave of Nordgau and her maternal grandmother is Gerberga of Swabia. She had a brother and a sister, named Otto III and Ida von. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 85 on August 4th, 1113.General Notes
