Eleanor was born about 1230 in Breconshire, Wales.1 Eleanor's father was William Baron De Braiose and her mother was Eve, Lady [Sister of Surety] Marshall. Her paternal grandparents were Reginald de Braose , Lord of Abergaveny and Grace De Briwere; her maternal grandparents were William Marshal , Sir, Earl of Pembroke 4th and Isabel FitzGilbert de Clare , Countess Strigoil. She had four sisters named Isabella De, Eva, Maud and Bertha de. She was the youngest of the five children. She died before 1246 in Llanthony Inn, Gloucestershire, England.1 General Notes
