John de was born about 1233 in <, Coleshill, Warwick, England>.1   John de's father was Thomas de Clinton and his mother was Mezera de Bisege. He had three brothers named Thomas de, Osbert de and William de.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Maud.1
