Nigel d' Aubigny , of Cainhoe 
Nigel d' was born about 1055 in St. Martin d'Aubigny, Manche, Normandy, France. Nigel d''s father was William Seigneur d' Aubigny and his mother is Sister of Grimald de Plessis. He had a brother and three sisters, named Roger d', Oliva d', Aimee d' and Miss d'. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died before 1107 in Cainhoe Castle, Clophill, Bedfordshire, England.General Notes

Nigel d'Aubigny was a Domesday tenant-in-chief at Cainhoe and elsewherein Bedforshire. His origin has been discussed by the present writer, andthe conclusion reached that he was a member of the same family as Aubignyof Arundel and derived his name from St-Martin-d'Aubigny. His exactposition in the pedigree has not been established with certainty, but theprobabilities point somewhat strongly to his having been a youngerbrother of Roger d'Aubigny the father of William d'Aubigny, founder ofthe line of Arundel; if so, he was probably brother of Richard d'Aubigny,abbot of St. Albans.
