George Washington Shaffer 
George Washington was born on January 21st, 1889 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. George Washington's father was Elias A. Shaver and his mother is Alice Gibson. His paternal grandparents were George W. Shaver and Susannah E. Hughes. He had a brother and a sister, named Dale W. and Rosa M.. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Sherman Harold, Otis, Charles, Doy, Dewey, Harley, Roxy, Susan and Ada. He died at the age of 67 on March 11th, 1956 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. He was buried in John Bean Cemetery.-
