John D. Watts 
John D. was born on April 14th, 1796 in Statesville, Iredell Co., North Carolina.1 John D.'s father was William Watts and his mother was Rachel Davidson. His maternal grandfather was Joseph Davidson and his maternal grandmother is Sarah Lambert. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, James, Isaac, Alexander, Isaac, William Franklin, Alburtus, Fielding, Mary, Sara, Tabitha and Narcissa.
