His paternal grandparents were Felix Grundy Warren and Mary Jane Underwood. He had a brother and a sister, named Thurman Bayard and Lorena McLellan. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Albay, Ruby and Jewel. He died at the age of 53 on September 16th, 1943 in Artesia, Eddy Co., New Mexico.
