His paternal grandparents were Hardin Cody Warren and Lydia Johnson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Isaac John Calvin, Israel Dotson, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Jeremiah Nathaniel, Rebecca Eveline and Sarah Elizabeth.
