George Robert was born on January 19th, 1906 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 George Robert's father was Thomas Jefferson Thompson and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Salsman. His maternal grandparents were George William Salsman and Nancy Ann Jones. He had three sisters named Ludie Beatrice, Elinore Venita and Leona Mae.
