Martha Matilde was born on May 16th, 1885.1 Martha Matilde's father was Amos Gayle,Rev. Taylor and her mother was Martha Matilida Graham. Her maternal grandparents were Ozias Denton,Dr. Graham and Martha Matilda Thornton. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Beal Denton, John Franklin, Sarah Elizabeth, Mary Alice, Theodocia Earnest, Sonorah Adeline and Aetna Alwilda. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died in Hunt, Kerr Co., Texas. She was buried in Hunt Cemetery, Kerr Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
